Margie Antrobus
Margie is in demand as a guest conductor throughout Norway and internationally. She has worked with bands including Tertnes Brass, Rong Brass, Kleppe Musikklag, Manger Musikklag, the European Youth Brass Band, and the Nederlandse Jeugd Brass Band. She is also a respected adjudicator, regularly invited to judge major competitions across Europe, North America, and Australia.
Alongside conducting, Margie enjoys arranging music for brass and concert bands, with her work performed internationally. Education remains at the heart of everything she does, whether leading rehearsals, delivering workshops, or mentoring conductors. As a Yamaha Ambassador, she is committed to encouraging musicians of all ages and creating inspiring musical experiences that bring people together.


Margie S. Antrobus is a conductor, arranger, adjudicator, educator, and Yamaha Ambassador based in Bergen, Norway. As Resident Conductor of Flesland Musikklag, she has built an international career working with brass bands of all levels, combining a passion for musical excellence with a genuine love of helping musicians grow.
Originally from the UK, Margie was introduced to brass bands by her father, conductor Michael Antrobus, and began playing the baritone at a young age. She went on to perform with leading ensembles including Yorkshire Building Society Band and Manger Musikklag before studying at the University of Salford and completing a Master of Music at the University of Manchester.
